Using great listening skills then makes the prospecting process less about sales, at least in the hard sell sense of the word, and more about network marketing in which you become a ‘professional inviter’ and provider of information to candidates rather than a pushy sales person who clearly has a greater interest in money and themselves than in providing a valuable service.
Wouldn’t you rather be a professional inviter, sorting through potential candidates with your great listening skills, than someone who will take money from anyone for money’s sake?
The most important question to consider in all of this for the sake of your sanity is this:
How will your team look in 6 months’ time when you have attracted and recruited the right people into your business?
You will most likely find that, with the right business partners, your enthusiasm and energy levels will be even higher in 6 months’ time than they are now with much high duplication levels than if you try building your business in any other way !
