Work from home business opportunities provide the kind of lifestyle that so many overworked commuters can only dream about:
a life in which you call the shots, set your own schedule, and have the freedom to decide what You want to do when you want with anyone you want.
However Staying Healthy As A Home-Based Business Owner is Key!
Most people pursuing work from home business opportunities put a lot of effort into being successful. So much so, it is easy to forget about taking care of your health. Many home-based businesses today are carried out almost entirely online, and that means a lot of sitting and very little exercise.
To stay healthy when you work at home, you really have to put in a conscious effort.
It is easy to get wrapped up into finishing a project so you stay glued to your computer and push yourself to stick it out. Did you know if you regularly take short breaks and get up and move around, you will be more energetic and able to think more clearly… and actually get more done?
How many times have you sat at your desk and fought to stay awake while you worked on your duties?
It probably happens quite a bit. To stay alert and focused, there is no need to rely on coffee or other stimulants. Just:
- Get more exercise instead.
- Set a timer to keep you focused and for great time management, and
- Get up periodically and get your blood pumping.
Take a brisk walk around the block or hop on your treadmill. In addition to those short breaks to recharge, you should also aim to get at least thirty minutes of moderately intense exercise every day. This will help you stay healthier and ward off obesity and other ailments that accompany a sedentary lifestyle.
Don’t forget to watch your diet too. Eat healthy snacks of raw vegetables, fruits, seeds and nuts, rather than munching on high-carb chips or candy while you are working. Refined carbs and sugar will only cause a rebound effect that makes you sleepy later on.
So remember, whether you’re already a home-based business owner or currently doing your due diligence on various work from home business opportunities,
in order to be at the top of your game, you have to feel alert and be productive. A good diet and plenty of exercise can help you get there.
Most importantly, don’t forget that all the wealth and freedom in the world are meaningless if you don’t have your health!

Why do so many startup home based business owners struggle and what specific actions must you take to ensure your own success?
I’d like to help you find the answer by introducing you to three characters you may recognize to some degree.
Perhaps you know some startup home based business owners who resemble the 3 characters below in some way.
I hope you find this fun but also valuable – heck, who doesn’t find this kind of exercise of reflection useful to their business ?
I know I did. So here are our 3 friends:
John is a complete and utter failure in everything he touches and his web based home business is no exception.
He has invested good money in his business but he is close to packing it in already after only a few months.
Ted, on the other hand, has the “Midas touch” and his computer is like an ATM to him that he takes everywhere on his travels as he works his web based home business while enjoying total freedom, from the white sand of the Cayman islands to the classy hotels where he frequently stays in Vegas with his wife.
Jane is 90% of the way there but is missing one key element that keeps her in the “poor house.”
They are all startup home based business owners, but to see their websites you would not know that their respective average incomes range from $150 per month to $22000 per month.
How can this be?
Surprising until you look a little deeper.
First of all, John has confused having a startup home based business with a J-O-B. He literally expects the cheques to roll in from the first month and, unlike success business people, is NOT working his “tail off” to ensure his business gets off to a fast start.
You have guessed it!
He has fallen for the get-rich-quick lie that the Internet is a machine that spits out money
as soon as you have a website. No long-term commitment or strategy = failure for 98% of Internet
marketers.
You see, John outsources his website creation to designers and sits back paying no attention to search engine optimization, expecting a torrent of customers overnight.
Now Ted, on the other hand, is what some people call an “Internet rock star.”
From day one, he treated his web based home business like any other business that required commitment and hard work.
Sure he knew that the Internet represented a unique opportunity since his business would
be running 24/7.
BUT – he recognized that to earn good or even great money he would have to work at it
relentlessly, perhaps even harder than a traditional franchise opportunity.

But Ted knew that his web based home business would at first be invisible!

No-one knows her website exists, she has no articles outside her website,

Put down your home-based business roots?
Having a home-based business may not be for everyone.
Here are a few things you should consider before firing your boss and putting down your roots with a business at home:
1) Are you passionate about your home business idea? Is it something you are going to be happy to get up earlier for and go to bed later for? Are you likely to wake up at night excited about a new business-related idea that Mr “Dream-maker” has given you?
2) Is the market passionate about or at least really keen on your business idea?
Researching your market, whether local or online, is essential. Do you know your market? Sometimes the people you think will buy will not and those you would never have considered can be the fastest to draw out their purse or wallet.
Know your buyers, and you’ll be able to keep your buyers and find more just like them.
To gauge the interest level among different age groups and walks of life:
* Have a home party and inviting the neighbors
* Place your product in a few select stores
* Place a few ads locally.
The feedback you receive can be invaluable and even help you uncover a new market or give you a new money-making idea!
3) Do you have the capital and mental resources to soldier on through your launch phase? Unless you happen to be selling ice during a widespread blackout or diapers when there is a national shortage, there are going to be times when the customers just don’t run in your direction. You may know how great your product or service is but most people will not be aware it even exists until you get the word out.
4) Do you have the skills required to market your product?
Be successful in your launch by acquiring or outsourcing the marketing skills you need. Developing online marketing expertise to wow and greatly increase your target market may enable your unique home business to thrive, so that you have customers literally running to your door or online store with their money!
5) Do you have a system in place to provide an excellent customer experience (including the handling of payment processing) so your customers are happy and think of you first when they need to buy again?
These are just a few ideas to get you started, the most important of which is of course No. 1) – YOU are the engine of your business and it is your determination and passion that will make sure your home-based business is a success.

Not only is this an incredibly powerful online business model but it is something that I am so proud to represent because of the amazing effect it has already had on so many people’s lives.
This system gave me absolutely everything I needed to market myself online profitably and I thank my lucky stars that I found it.
Being in a legitimate online business that allows me to help people earn a very substantial income while staying close to their families now gives me more job satisfaction than any previous job I have had, and getting out of bed in the morning has never been easier!
