How do You please Google in 2010 to Promote Your legitimate online business?

legitimate online businessWho else got burned or ‘slapped’, or thrown out of the Google bar last year even though
they were running a legitimate online business?

Ouch! Still smarting and reluctant to get back in?

Here’s why you should and what to do now to make sure you please Google and restore your once mutually profitable relationship.

I can tell you without a doubt that you are going to miss out *big time* if you don’t make absolutely sure that you pick yourself up and get back in the bar.

You see, the bar is half empty because, with their new stricter policies resulting for some in the infamous ‘Google slap’, Google have created a kind of exclusive membership.  The open door policy where any
‘Tom, Dick or Harry’ (anyone) can wander in is history!

How Do You Guarantee Your Membership to the new and exclusive Google bar is accepted?

No worries because, like any membership, as long as you follow some simple steps to qualify, you will now be part of
an exclusive club with EXTRA benefits – you see, fewer members mean less competition and more exposure
for what you have to offer, which is, after all, a legitimate online business.

Here’s what you do today to make sure you are back inside tomorrow:

1) Realize that Google is attempting to do 2 things:
a) improve the quality and relevance of the content provided to the user and the user experience.
b) ensure that the crowded world of the Internet that is creating information overload for so many
has as much *unique* content as possible.

2) Avoid turnkey, duplicated landing pages pitching an offer and nothing else.
If you do have a landing page, ensure that it is unique and content-rich but also that the content matches what the searcher is looking for.
Google takes a dim view of landing pages that lead anyone arriving to immediately leave.  Please Google in order to obtain good quality scores and lower cost per click.
Include a navigation bar with links to other content such as disclaimers; a good example of links to include is:  “Terms – Privacy – Policy Disclaimer – Contact  – Affiliates”.

3) Make sure your blog, which in essence is supposed to be a personal news bulletin, does not focus on or constantly pitch a particular product or service.
It must have a personal touch (it’s a blog after all) and serve as a valuable reader resource.  As such, it must contain unique and useful content.

4) Create a website or blog in an organized, logical manner. Again, it’s all about offering good content in an accessible manner to optimize the ”reader experience.’  Websites and blogs with a lot of articles and content should ideally have a few main categories with subcategories that make sense. In all categories, articles should contain keywords that reflect the title of the post and also the category they fall under.

5) Earn your way to more backlinks to your site through great content.  Great content will draw Google to your site, guaranteed.  Backlink exchanges with other collaborating sites are nowhere near as valuable as one-way links from other sites that have linked to you by referencing useful content you provide.

Google will reward you for relevancy and popularity.

6) Make sure that the pages you direct your customers to load fast – you can do this by keeping the size of your image files to a minimum and by hosting your data-heavy HD videos on uTube, Viddler or on Amazon S3.

– – Naturally being favored by Google will also mean more traffic and sales for your business and lower advertising costs – –

**So it’s time to get back in the game.  Now not tomorrow.  Despite the spanking many received last year, the opportunity has never been greater.
Google Adwords is still probably one of the best and most profitable ways to laser-target your customers.

By practicing the above to ensure you qualify for the new exclusive membership, you can virtually guarantee acceptance

and preferential rates/lower keyword costs.  Many recommend starting out with a new domain since it’s not going to be good use of your time to try to convince Google to re-assess your landing page or site.

Fear not, legitimate online businesses have everything to gain by finding favor with Google and should even qualify for a drink or two on the house!
